Say what you will of his brief tenure as host of Late Night, but Jimmy Fallon won a point in my book when he called for a Saved by the Bell reunion to commemorate the show’s 20th anniversary.While nobody would dare claim SBTB was good TV, an entire generation of kids grew up watching it because we had nothing better to do on Saturday mornings. Subsequent generations were sucked stared blankly as the show continued in reruns. Like it or not, Saved by the Bell is a part of us.
Fallon made an on-air plea for (in order of importance) Zack, Kelly, Slater, Jessie, Screech and Lisa to come together to embrace their real TV legacies. Fallon even trotted out Principal Belding to help convince his former students that a SBTB reunion wouldn't be the lamest thing ever.
